Artist Statment

I’ve never thought about myself as the creative type or as much of an artist at all, but as I’ve immersed myself more and more into the media world the last year or so I have found that I am truly passionate about a number of different things. From a young age I always loved fashion and celebrity life. Whether I was reading all the latest magazines, gossip blogs, or watching reality television I always envisioned myself working in the media field, whether working for a magazine, fashion company, or television network. Although I have always envisioned having a career in one of these three areas, I am excited to be given the opportunity to explore the world of filmmaking, as movies and television are such a major part of my every day life. Through filmmaking I hope to show people ways in which given situations and circumstances directly affect human nature and behavior. Throughout my life there have been bumps in the road that not only have affected me but also have helped to shape me into the person I am today. As a result, I hope to pass on some of the many lessons I have learned to others through the art of filmmaking.
